Yamaha Clavinova CLP-835 88-Key Digital Piano – White

Experience the feel, expression and rich sound of a premium grand piano with the Yamaha Clavinova CLP-835 88-Key Digital Piano. Designed for serious pianists, students, music teachers, churches, schools and home musicians, the CLP-835 combines Yamaha’s advanced digital piano technology with an authentic grand-piano playing experience.

Featuring the GrandTouch-S 88-key keyboard, Yamaha CFX and Bösendorfer Imperial grand piano sounds, Grand Expression Modeling, Virtual Resonance Modeling and 256-note polyphony, the Yamaha CLP-835 responds naturally to subtle changes in your playing.

With Bluetooth Audio and MIDI, USB connectivity, built-in recording, dual headphone outputs and a traditional 3-pedal system, the CLP-835 is equally suited to practice, teaching, recording and performance.

Authentic Yamaha Grand Piano Experience

The Yamaha CLP-835 has been engineered to reproduce the expressive response of an acoustic grand piano.

Yamaha’s Grand Expression Modeling translates subtle variations in the pianist’s touch into detailed changes in the resulting sound. From delicate passages to powerful performances, the instrument responds dynamically to your playing technique.

Premium samples of the renowned Yamaha CFX and Bösendorfer Imperial concert grand pianos provide two distinctive grand-piano characters suitable for classical, contemporary and modern music.

GrandTouch-S 88-Key Keyboard

The GrandTouch-S keyboard provides an expressive and realistic playing experience across all 88 keys.

Synthetic ivory and ebony keytops provide a comfortable, premium playing surface, while the escapement mechanism helps recreate the tactile response associated with traditional grand-piano actions.

Multiple touch sensitivity settings allow players to customise the keyboard response according to their individual playing style.

Virtual Resonance Modeling

An acoustic grand piano produces sound through complex interactions between its strings, soundboard, cabinet and pedals.

Yamaha’s Virtual Resonance Modeling (VRM) recreates these interactions digitally, producing a more detailed and natural piano tone that responds dynamically as you play.

The result is a richer and more immersive performance experience.

3D Binaural Headphone Experience

Practising privately doesn’t have to mean sacrificing the experience of playing a grand piano.

The Yamaha CLP-835 incorporates binaural sampling technology designed to create a spacious, three-dimensional piano sound when using compatible headphones.

Two stereo headphone connections also allow two people to listen simultaneously, making the CLP-835 particularly useful for piano lessons and teacher-student sessions.

A built-in volume limiter can be used to control maximum listening levels.

Bluetooth Audio & MIDI

Connect compatible smartphones and tablets wirelessly using Bluetooth Audio and MIDI.

You can stream music through the piano’s built-in speaker system or connect with compatible Yamaha applications such as Smart Pianist for additional control and learning functionality.

Bluetooth connectivity makes the CLP-835 an excellent modern instrument for practice, education and entertainment.

Recording & USB Connectivity

Capture your performances directly from the piano using its integrated recording capabilities.

The CLP-835 supports multi-track MIDI recording and USB audio recording, allowing musicians to save performances, analyse their playing or develop musical arrangements.

USB connectivity also enables connection to compatible Windows and macOS computers for music production and educational applications.

Dual, Duo & Split Keyboard Modes

The Yamaha Clavinova CLP-835 offers several flexible keyboard configurations.

Dual Mode allows two instrument sounds to be layered together.

Split Mode enables different sounds to be assigned to the left and right sections of the keyboard.

Duo Mode divides the keyboard into two sections with similar pitch ranges, making it especially useful for lessons where a teacher and student need to play together.

Traditional Three-Pedal System

The CLP-835 includes a traditional three-pedal configuration consisting of:

• Damper pedal
• Sostenuto pedal
• Soft pedal

This arrangement provides the familiar pedal control expected by experienced acoustic piano players.
